Women's Sexual Health in Bellevue
Sex shouldn't hurt
Has your interest in sex waned and are you worried this could compromise your relationship with your partner?
Are you avoiding having sex because of the pain you feel during intercourse?
Are you struggling with vaginal issues that you are too embarrassed to discuss with your doctor?
It can sometimes feel difficult or uncomfortable to talk about sexual problems, but these issues are important and can affect your self-esteem and your relationship.
Decreased sexual pleasure can be due to a low sex drive, vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, the vaginal canal being too loose (less sensation) or too tight (discomfort), and difficulty achieving an orgasm.
Fortunately, there are treatment options available. First step is to establish a solid foundation by balancing your hormones. Then other options treatment include:
- PRP Injection
- Fotona Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation
- Sound Wave Therapy
Urinary Leakage
Many women suffer in embarrassed silence with urinary incontinence. With stress urinary incontinence, they leak urine when laughing, coughing, sneezing or exercising. This is caused by a weakening of the pelvic floor muscles due to the effects of childbirth or aging.
Often, women have a combination of stress urinary incontinence and urge incontinence. With urge incontinence, there is a strong and sudden need to urinate, followed by squeezing of the bladder muscle. Urine is lost if a woman is not able to find a restroom quickly. Urinary incontinence is an extremely common problem, and can cause social and hygiene issues.
Until recently, we did not have good solutions other than wearing a pad or having surgery. Fortunately, we now have treatments available that can help both sexual health and incontinence!
For women’s urinary incontinence, we offer three procedures:
- PRP Injection
- Fotona Laser treatment
- Emsella Chair
TREATMENT OPTIONS
Fotona Vaginal Rejuvenation
PRP Injection Treatment
What if you could treat your urinary stress incontinence or sexual dysfunction with….
- Near zero risk
- In 15 minutes
- No downtime
PRP injections have been a game changer for women’s health.
How does the PRP Injection Work?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection treatment harnesses your body’s own natural ability to heal! By harvesting your platelets which contain growth factors, and injecting into the area needing attention, essential tissues can be stimulated to grow, including new blood vessels, collagen fibers and nerves to help with incontinence and sexual health.
What to expect….
Blood is drawn from your arm, and we separate out the platelet rich plasma which contains the growth factors.
After the area is numbed, the PRP is injected into the clitoris and roof of the vaginal canal. This PRP will activate the stem cells in your tissues to regenerate blood vessels, nerve endings and collagen fibers to help restore sexual function and prevent leakage.
Possible benefits include:
- Decreased or resolved pain during sex
- Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
- Smoother skin externally (lips of the vagina)
- Improved urge and stress urinary incontinence
The Fotona laser treatments and PRP Injection can be combined for maximum benefit.
Emsella Chair: Pelvic Floor Strengthening
Emsella is a great, non-invasive option for women who are experiencing urinary incontinence or other pelvic floor issues.
Emsella works by delivering high-frequency electromagnetic waves to the pelvic floor muscles. This energy causes the muscles to contract and relax, which can help to strengthen them over time.
It is especially helpful for women who have given birth, as childbirth can weaken the pelvic floor muscles and lead to incontinence. Emsella can also be beneficial for women who are going through menopause or experiencing hormonal changes that can affect bladder control.
- 30 minute treatment session, sitting fully clothed on Emsella chair
- Total 6 sessions, spaced twice a week over 3 weeks
- Completely painless
- Resume usual activity right away
- Peak results in 3 months after final session, but often see improvement during treatment course
Sound Wave Therapy For Sexual Wellness
Sound Wave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-intensity sound waves to improve blood flow and promote tissue healing in the clitoral and vaginal areas. The treatment is designed to help women who are experiencing sexual dysfunction or discomfort, such as pain during intercourse or reduced sensitivity.
Sound Wave Therapy works by stimulating the growth of new blood vessels in the clitoral and vaginal area, which can help to improve blood flow and promote tissue healing.
- Treatment is painless
- No downtime, so you can return to your normal activities right away
- Typical course includes 4 sessions, each lasting 15-20 minutes.
- Sessions are twice a week
- Peak results seen in 2-3 months from last session
